International Conference on Climate Change organized in Nepal

An international conference on climate change was organized in Nepal. It was inaugurated by President Bija Devi Bhandari of Nepal. This is 'Flexible Hindu Kush Himalaya: Developing Solutions for a Stable Future for Asia'.
Its aim is to attract attention to the adverse effects of global warming in the Hindu Kush mountain range. It was organized in collaboration with the Integrated Marine Development Institute (ICIMOD) for the Environment Ministry of Nepal.
The objective of the 4 day conference is to develop solutions for a sustainable future for Asia, which can face the effects of climate change. The main objective is to develop solutions for the flexibility building, to promote regional cooperation and reduce the data gap for permanent mountain development.
More than 300 experts from different countries of Asia including India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan and Myanmar participated in it. Indian delegation led by VK Saraswat, a member of the Nita Foundation of India.
